keep going, babe!

It's day 20 of college. Day 20 of missing my parents and siblings. Day 20 of missing my sweet boyfriend. Day 20 of studying and making sure I keep a good GPA. Day 20 of a commitment made up of (potentially) 912 days.

Every reason I have for quitting is every reason I have for moving forward.

Every day is a choice. A choice of being content, having and learning wisdom, being kind, and maturing. Also, being grateful for my past and looking forward to the future while being present. Choosing to be a good steward of what I've been given isn't always the easiest decision, but it certainly is the best!

In the end, I'm here at Southeastern to get my degree. While I'm happy about that, I'm also super excited about all the life lessons I am learning. It is important to be book smart and equally, if not more, important to be heart smart. What do I mean by heart smart? Being bold, being soulful, being confident in who God has created me to be, and above all being full of love.

Here are a couple of things that have kept me motivated this week:
"If you're interested, you'll do what's convenient. If you're committed, you'll do whatever it takes." (not sure who said this! I screenshotted it off a friend's snapchat!)

"Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised." - Hebrews 10:35-36

Maybe you're in the same boat with college. Maybe you're following through on a different commitment. Remember that it's totally okay to miss your family and your friends. It's okay to miss what was once comfortable to you! Also remember that there is a great reward in moving forward and growing.

Keep going, babe!

P.S. Maybe you noticed the name change?! If so...sweet!! I'm in love with it and so happy that I've turned a hashtag that I've been using for about a year into a cool place online. I'm not making any promises as to how many posts I'll be doing or what Be Bold Be Soulful will look like, but I can promise that it's going to be full of authenticity and..soulfulness! Love ya!
