And Obama wins the election

I'm not old enough to vote yet.
but if I was, I would have voted for Romney.
But that's not the point I want to make today.

I want to talk about my opinions
on these past few months, politics, and hope.

These past few months
I'd go on facebook
and see so many rude & disrespectful
 statuses/debates/comments/pictures
for both candidates.

To those who posted rude and disrespectful statuses, comments, and pictures
"No matter what your political views were before today, our president is our president. However much you disagree with him, he should be given the same respect that you would give your own candidate if he were in office."
(via my friend's facebook status)

As for the senseless arguing and debating
Titus 3:9
But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

So seriously.
It's not doing any good to be disrespectful or rude or mean.
What we should be doing is praying.
For ourselves, for our country.
And remember that our hope is not in man,
but in the Lord.

OH my gosh Lily.. You hit the nail on the head.. FB was unbearable during this whole election period.. I seriously considered deleting my account many times.. It was so annoying.. But yes.. He is our President now and as such we must respect him. There's a good verse in Romans 12 about how God appoints kings and that we should pray for them..maybe it's 1 Tim? Hmmm.. I need to go brush up on my Bible! Yikes! Hope you've been well!
